Hey everyone!

How are you doing? Everything’s pretty fine for me :) I just spent one week with one of my best friends Laurina and her boyfriend who came to visit us here in Dubai. And going back to work today instead of spending the day on the beach or visiting Dubai was harder than expected! But I’m back for a good reason, which is showing you my collaboration shade with piCture pOlish: Arabian.

And as you can see, no I didn’t go for a purple which is my favorite color. And the reason is simple, my perfect purples have already been created by piCture pOlish, and they are Hussy and Pandora! Instead I wanted to go with a color inspired by my Tunisian roots, and I wanted to feature this amazing red that I remember seeing on my aunts’ nails when I was younger. As you know, I hate it when a red isn’t opaque, which is why I wanted this one to be really pigmented and bold.

And to add an even more oriental touch to Arabian, we filled it with lots of glass flecks and gold sparks in addition to the scatter holo. Because you know that everything’s better when it sparkles! After a few tries we finally obtained the polish I was looking for! Please note that there’s no glitter in it, so it has a smooth finish and it’s easy to remove!

I think you’ve already guessed the meaning of the name :) As I said earlier it’s inspired by my origins, and by this culture I grew up in and that I love. I’m glad that piCture pOlish accepted the typo I suggested as for me it’s THE final touch to the polish, THE thing that makes it complete :) Regarding the little sentence never forget who you truly are, I think it’s obvious, right? Never forget where you come from, and even if we grow up and change a bit, I think it’s important for us to stick to who we are deep inside.

And here’s a quick comparison between arabian and o’hara :) I applied both of the polishes in two coats, and took the picture with direct sunlight. I don’t think it was the best idea but at least you can see the difference. o’hara is lighter than arabian, it also has a pink kind of undertone. Also I wanted to add that all of the previous swatches of arabian where made in two single coats!

Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments and your support on both Facebook and Instagram! I’m really happy to see that you like it as much as I do! I also thank piCture pOlish and therefore Jules and Meg from the bottom of my heart for everything and for creating the shade I was looking for! Now, I can’t wait to see it on your nails, and know what you think about it!

If I could I would hug you all! Thanks for being here ❤

  1. That is a stunning polish, and I like hearing the story behind it’s creation. Congratulations on your beautiful collaboration shade! :)

  2. Congratulations! It is a stunning shade indeed! Red polishes will always have my heart because it was the only color I wore on my nails for many years, for that reason alone this needs to be in my collection, not to mention because it is beautiful. Great work!
